What a Super Visa insurance plan must include.
A Super Visa application must include proof of private medical insurance. Every Super Visa insurance plan we arrange meets IRCC requirements:
- At least $100,000 in emergency medical coverage
- Valid for at least one year from the date of entry, and for each entry
- Covers health care, hospitalization and repatriation
- Issued by a Canadian insurer, or an approved insurer outside Canada authorized by OSFI
- Paid in full, or in instalments with a deposit. Quotes are not accepted.
We arrange the insurance. The Super Visa itself is issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), which sets these requirements. Payment plans and refund options are subject to each insurer’s terms.

How long does the coverage have to last?

Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. A plan can be paid in full, or in instalments with a deposit. A quote is not accepted as proof of insurance.
What if the Super Visa is refused?
Partial and full refund options are available, subject to each insurer’s terms.
Which insurers can provide Super Visa insurance?
The plan must be issued by a Canadian insurance company, or by an approved insurer outside Canada that is authorized by the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI).
